Common questions
What ages do you work with?
Kindy to Year 12, with a focus on Years 6 to 9, when high school brings more subjects, more homework and more to manage independently.
Do you work with my child?
I work with you, the parent. I don’t tutor your child or work with them one-to-one. Everything I create is designed for your family to use at home.
Will you talk to my child's school?
No. I don’t contact schools or teachers, and school liaison isn’t part of what I offer. I only share your documents if you ask me to in writing, or the law requires it. Here's exactly what happens to your child's paperwork.
Is it in person or online?
Parent Consultations can happen at your home in Perth or over video. The Report Summary and the Homework Starter Kit are delivered by email, so they’re available to families anywhere in WA.
How do I pay?
By EFT or secure payment link. Parent Consultations are invoiced after the session. The Report Summary and the Homework Starter Kit are paid for before I start.
When will I receive my summary or kit?
Three working days after I have payment and all the documents or information I need. If I need anything else, I’ll ask. After a Parent Consultation, your written summary arrives within three working days of the session.
Can I put what I've paid towards the next step?
Yes. What you've already paid counts towards the next step, if you order within 60 days. A Parent Consultation fee comes off a summary, and everything you've paid for a consultation and summary comes off the Kit. For example: consultation $150, then Report Summary $30, then Kit $270, so $450 in total. The 60 days run from your most recent consultation or summary delivery. Extra consultation time and travel aren't credited, but additional report fees are.
Do I need a call before ordering?
No. Send a message or book a free 15-minute call, whichever is easier. Get in touch.
How do I start using the kit?
Every Homework Starter Kit comes with a one-page Start here guide. It tells you which tool to try first and how to introduce it, so you don't need to introduce everything at once. More about the kit.
Do I need a diagnosis or report?
Not for a Parent Consultation or the Homework Starter Kit. Plenty of families come to me pre-diagnosis, mid-assessment or still on a waitlist. If you can tell me what homework night looks like, that’s enough to start. A Report Summary needs at least one assessment report, and the school documents summary needs school documents.
Can you help if my child has ADHD, autism or dyslexia?
Yes. Most families I work with have a child who is neurodivergent, diagnosed or not. I build around how your child actually works.
What is executive function?
The skills that get a task started, planned and finished. They’re what my homework tools are built to support.
Can I use NDIS funding?
I’m not a registered NDIS provider, and I can’t confirm whether your plan will cover my services. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can generally use unregistered providers, but that doesn’t mean every service is fundable. Check the specific service with your plan manager or support coordinator before booking.
What if it doesn’t work for my child?
For a Homework Starter Kit, tell me within 14 days of delivery and I’ll make one round of changes at no extra charge. For a Report Summary or school documents summary, I’ll correct or clarify anything that’s wrong or unclear within the same 14 days.
